If you've found yourself wondering how the Supreme Court has enabled nearly unlimited growth in our national government, the Wickard v. Filburn case is a great place to start. James R. Harrigan and Antony Davies provide one of the best explanations you'll read.
You may not realize it but we are engaged in an existential battle over who will control the information we may access in order to understand our world. J.D. Tuccille lays out why it's dangerous to allow politicians and 'officials' to determine what constitutes 'truth'.
Given how public schools are increasing becoming a battleground for the minds of our children, it's hard to fault parents who've chosen to get their kids out. Annie Holmquist says homeschooling has just crossed the tipping point.
When it comes to higher education, many of us are hoping a similar tipping point is approaching. Isaac Morehouse says it's never been more important to skip college. He definitely has some points worth considering.

Eric Peters from Eric Peters Autos stops by to drop off his weekly reality supplement for my listeners. Among the topics we discuss, we explore how we got to where we are today and where we appear to be headed.
Nothing illustrates the depth of deception to which we've been subjected like the way those in authority eventually come to embrace the very same truths they've tried to suppress for the past two years. Elle Reynolds describes how the media and CDC have quietly admitted to 3 Covid truths after 2 years of lies. Did they think we wouldn't notice?
History offers many valuable warnings to those who take the time to learn from it. Jared McBrady explains how the current "othering" of the unvaccinated has plenty of historical precedents. And none of those precedents had a happy conclusion.

It's not like we lack historical examples of what can happen when science becomes married to power and then granted near infallible status. Mike Roberts explains why the bastardization of the scientific method is so dangerous.
I understand that many people are sincerely afraid of an unseen enemy that is being blamed for turning our world upside down. Rick McDowell says fear is the mind-killer and people under its influence are likely to miss the fact that their fear is being used to control them.
What happened on Jan 6 of 2021 is being used to weaponize the full weight of the federal government against anyone who refuses to go along with the official narrative. You don't have to agree with the people who stepped over the line to recognize that there are a lot of unanswered questions. Julie Kelly has 12 questions the Justice Dept and the FBI need to answer.
If you're serious about changing minds rather than establishing dominance over others, you know that persuasion requires respect for the other person. Annie Holmquist has some time-tested advice from Ben Franklin on how to change the minds of those with whom you disagree. His advice rings true.
It's one thing to trust Dr. Fauci. It's something else to think about whether you trust your personal physician. Roger L. Simon asks, do you trust your doctor anymore? He has some compelling reasons why many people no longer can.

You know how I can be certain that there is no such thing as a mass formation psychosis that is taking hold of a large segment of the population? Because the major propaganda organs of our time, including Big Tech, mass media and their political allies have unanimously concluded that no such thing exists. And if we can't trust them to tell us the truth, who can we trust?
In all seriousness, speaking the truth these days requires a stainless steel backbone. The masses are being conditioned to see wrongthinkers as the cause of their misery. Gary D. Barnett has a few of the reasons we can never stop speaking out: only the truth will set us free.
I don't know how anyone who followed the Supreme Court hearing on workplace vax mandates could still believe that the judiciary hasn't been fatally compromised by activism. Jeffrey A. Tucker sums it up nicely: Get the courts out of science. Both are deeply tainted by politics.

If you had any doubts as to how certain members of the political class are exploiting their so-called "insurrection" for some perceived advantage, here's something to chew on. Jonathan Turley reports that some Democratic groups and commentators are calling for the disqualification of many Republican candidates to "save democracy." Where have we seen this kind of thing before?
Here's a topic that tends to make some folks panic: justice without the state. Doug Casey has an enlightening take on the failures of the justice system and a viable solution.
I'm a believer in being prepared mentally, materially and spiritually for the unstable times in which we live. Stasia Decker-Ahmed says, take a look at what's happening in other first world nations. And resist the urge to pretend it can't happen here.
Here's a bonus image for those who want to know what it looks like to put your money where your mouth is. A company is pulling out of the Vegas SHOT Show because of the mask mandates. Read the letter for yourself.

You've no doubt heard a lot about the alleged "threats to our democracy" recently. J. Peder Zane has noticed that the ones shouting the loudest about democracy are the very same ones who are working overtime to subvert it for their own political goals.
There are many reasons to oppose the lockdown mentality and the harm it causes to our freedoms, the economy and our mental health. Here's another reason lockdowns and mandates have been especially destructive: pandemic babies are showing developmental delays, even if their mothers didn't have Covid.
You don't have to be carrying a grudge in order to recognize that the relationship the government and the people has shifted drastically in the last two years. Judge Andrew Napolitano spells out the chilling lessons of Covid-19 and why they matter as we move forward.
Everyone who steered clear of their television set yesterday was wise to do so. As Glenn Greenwald explains, the histrionics and melodrama around 1/6 are laughable but they serve several key purposes.

It used to be joke among parents that we could mold our child's behavior through shame and self-doubt. Unfortunately, this has proven to be an effective strategy for coercing people in regards to Covid. Tim O' Brien has great advice on how to recognize when this kind social engineering is being used against you.
Most people see and recognize that prices are going higher and higher on everything they buy. However, very few people understand what inflation is and what causes it. Brian McGlinchey describes it as a stealth tax with no maximum rate.
I'm purposely spending very little time talking about the January 6th anniversary today. But something you should know is that the DOJ has admitted to secretly sending 'commandos' to the Capitol with shoot-to-kill orders, several days prior to Jan 6. What did they apparently know that all the other law enforcement agencies did not?
Since the public appears to be regaining its ability to think in the face of Covid, I guess it makes sense that the power-seekers and opportunists would trot out another existential threat to keep us in line. Jon Miltimore explains how some are opening advocating for more authoritarianism in order to fight climate change. At least they're finally calling it what it is.

Do you remember when your eyes first opened? Jim Bovard has a great story and a practical lesson about money in recounting his two-bit political awakening.
Wasn't interesting how quickly we saw the shift from "free donuts and $$ for getting the jab" to "take the jab or lose your job"? Bryan Caplan explains how escalation is the standard mechanism of government coercion.
These days, it seems like everything the left doesn't like is getting labeled as "violence." Here's a fascinating report from Revolver News on how the left calls everything 'violent' because it works.

I hate to steal anyone's thunder but there are still some lingering questions over the events of last January 6th. Julie Kelly lists out a few of the reasons that the "insurrection" narrative is now in serious doubt.
One of the more positive developments we're seeing right now has to do with the fact that the mainstream media is having its first real encounter with reality in a while. Here's a commentary that explains why the mainstream media is losing the fight of its life--thanks to Joe Rogan.
America's political class seems determined to cast Russia as an existential threat to our well-being. Take a moment to read Pat Buchanan's take on the matter. He has some convincing reasons that Russia is not the great rival; China is.
If standing firm in defense of your remaining freedoms is a primary goal, you'll likely appreciate Robert E. Wright's simple new year's resolution. Overcoming collectivist groupthink is only possible when we, as individuals, understand and live the concepts that promote freedom.

Not a day goes by that I don't feel real gratitude for the principled voices who have refused to yield to the systems that seek to rule us. Ron Paul makes the case for taking back our liberty in 2022.
My apologies for banging the drum so relentlessly in urging people to listen to Joe Rogan's interview with Dr. Robert Malone. Their conversation may be one of the most important interviews you've heard in ages. It represents a tectonic shift in public awareness of a long overdue challenge to the prevailing narrative.
YouTube has scrapped Joe Rogan's podcast episode with Dr. Malone over "misinformation" concerns that Malone compared our current cultural climate with Nazi Germany. Sure seems like the modern day book-burners are working very hard to make sure we aren't able to consider unapproved ideas. Are we sure these censors are on the right side of history?
David Butler is back with his third installment of his series on American prophets. This time around, he's spotlighting Ronald Reagan and some of his prophetic insights.
